We wanted to post an update to the email we sent out a couple of weeks ago. On Sunday Brian was confirmed as the newest member of the pastoral leadership at The Lakes Church here in Cairns. In US church terms, it’s the equivalent of being an elder. I know I’ve said this again and again in our various updates, but one of the best things about establishing our lives here in Australia has been this church. Please pray for Brian as he steps into this role. He was selected as a teaching elder so pray especially over his times of study and preparation for the men’s Bible study, many coffee meetings with congregants, and his sermons. We’ve also been spending time looking at his various commitments (outside of Pioneer Bible ministry) to see what needs to be pulled back in order to allow him the time to focus on his job and now this church role.
